just think of it like this Chewy, if the money wasn't in the car, the c*nt that nicked it may have held on to the car for longer, crashed it, tried to strip it, etc etc.

BUT because he found the cash he figured he was onto a winner anyhow, so didn't take the risk messin with a stolen car to get his next fix/drink/whatever.

It MAY have cost you more than £1100 if he hadn't seen that cash and done a runner if you know what I mean.

Just some help (wont repeat whats being said again and again) as I'm sure you want to move on, but you could claim off your house insurance for the cash (don't know if you have that option on it called 'away from home' may have a limit of £500/£1000 cash after you pay the excess something like £25, and the rest you can claim off motor insurance but the amt they cover for personal belongings is pitiful, really is. (Do travel agents charge 2.5% for credit card payments then..or something.)

Most car theft/damage vandals aren't caught and are opportunist, leads are not really followed once victim has got car back -its an insurance job. Thats why theres so much of it (car crime) and always will be in this country.

All the best.

5:55am in the morning

An oportunist car theive taking a running car with keys and no owner will be quids in, even more so when he sees the wallet with 1100 notes....

If he were to take the car and ring it, he'd prob not even get 1100 for himself......

Sorry to hear about the loss mate :(

Would have been much worse had the car not been left....
