possibly yeah. i might put them on e bay with a buy it now then. i'll see how much my boss wants for the stainless bar to make them out of and add a few quid for my time and put them on ebay.

Just been looking at this more and tbh you dont need the pin made.

You need a 35mm ish 8mm bolt and a few nuts.

Drill the hole as per, put the bolt through so the thread is where the pin is, then add a lock nut to prevent movement, this leaves a length of thread to put the cable over then lock it off with a nylock nut.

As long as the head of the bolt you add clears the bolt going into the box, i can't see a problem.

I have had a pin made up, and just finished fitting it, bloody hell its flipping ace the gearstick moves so little and the gears engage so fast.
Class mod!

With the drawing i found the tip to be a fraction to long, the clip does go over it though.
But if you wanted to go back to the standard throw (no idea why you would) the clip needs squuzing together a bit, to make it a snug fit :)

Must huge thanks to xd-data-ii for the diagram, although like i said before if using bolts/washers and nuts you could get the same effect for , well, pennies.

Yeah you could easily do it by simply getting the right size rod and nuts on both ends. But for a better look you could make the pin.
But can be done easily, just will look different.
Whatever method just need to have the gearlink cable held securely.
Just dont go too far to the right. About 3/4 inch i think max if remember correctly.

Thanks for the compliments and glad it inspired others to do it for themselves

Cheers Steve, did the mod today, much better! Spent an hour on my mates little lathe making the pin out of stainless steel. I didn't space it as far away as you did which meant I had to press out the original pin :-( never mind! Now I find the movement across the gate is at odds with the closeness of the fore/aft movement, so I'll be modding that now! Looks a piece of piss, even easier than the other one!
If anybody wants me to make them a quick shift, let me know. I will need your linkage arms off the top of the 'box tho.

It was indeed a piece of piss, took about 30 mins & no parts to make! Could have gone a bit more with the distance of the pin, but played safe. Changes are much better now. :)

does the gear linkage need to be adjusted slightly to fit over the new pin??
