i feel like a right n00b looking at your pics, i'm quite good with cars and always thought the 20v was a 5cylinder (4 valves per cylinder) but then seeing the open engine realised that it is actually a 4 cylinder, with 5 valves per cylinder!
well i haven' really done much research on the 20vt!
its coming along nicely now mate, can't wait to see what power outputs it gets, going to be mad quick!

Are you sure? If you're talking about the S3 which has the same engine as the LCR then it's a 4 clinder 5V (per cylinder) engine.
Im not 100% sure. Its just Im sure a few people who have supercharged there mk2's have taken the S3 inlet manifold and cut the 5th inlet off.

Engine is finally off the stand and has a gearbox bolted to it, car is being towed to the workshop tonight and i'll be making a start on the install friday
All being well it will be running by sunday

that's one way of doing it, or getting a 1.8t inlet manifold, and cutting and welding it to an ABF lower half

It's now in the workshop ready for engine to go back in, bonus is looks like i'll get an early start on it tomorrow aswell thanks to the bosses

It's alive!!
Got the car up and running this afternoon only covered a few miles but all seems okay at the moment, hopefully it will get a run out a bit later but i'm using it on trade plates at the moment so don't want to go to far.
Tomorrow i'm going to give it all another check over and a clean up as it's cover in dust.
