Kiwi is obviously having a strop due to Thumper getting all the attention She's in for a service tomorrow but have just discovered a leak running from behind the centre console down the plate into the o/s footwell?? at first i thought the wet was due to my feet as it's peed down here all day but on closer inspection there has been a definite slowish trickle under the footmat and feeling behind the gap of the console i could feel water,not puddles but anyone got any ideas where it may be coming from? popped the bonnet,can't see anything obvious,seems a bit of a strange place to me as dead central and has gotten the n/s slightly but the carpet there seems to have absorbed it??

Mine had a leak when the clutch cable gromet (sp?) came out of it's location in the scuttle panel. Althoug that came in on the drivers side. Try taking the plastic tray under the wipers out, have a gander under there?
the leak is coming in on the drivers side for the main part or more noticable as not got the plastic panel in the passenger side,will ask the garage to check the gromet tomorrow,can't see anything in the plastic tray,no cracks etc all seems sealed in, bit of wet to the right but nothing i wouldn't expect in this weather....where's the sun gone? thanking you muchly for the info though
usually worms its way in through a dislodged grommet or if the filters caked up a bit .. my passenger side was terrible a few month back
quick update...got her back now have what seem to be fully working brakes,get in!! although she seems to be drinking motion potion like it's going out of fashion,had a quick look for leaks whilst she was running,couldn't see or smell anything though
so will monitor her over the next few days. she did have a service as well,pollen filter was well cacked up apparently so waiting for rain to see if the leak recurs. cost me £525 for the pleasure,hope she's bloody grateful although i think it's a jealousy issue as she knows that was my 20vt and restoration fund for Thumper
these temperamental females eh?! mechanic took her out for a run,came back with a grin on his face"ooh she's a bit smiley aint she,i wasn't expecting that" he must be easily pleased,hehe!
did mean to shove up a few pics of her whilst she was in bits so may do those tomorrow, just been sat watching Transformers and cba now,what a bloody awesome film though! seperate thread for Thumper coming soon......

i will if i can budge her coilies to drop her a bit more for the national although i don't hold out much hope! clean pics and slammedness hopefully
rims not on yet,need 2 new tyres on and am so peeved off with the state of her at the mo have lost the will to live needs a few parts replacing as well,gotta get my butt down to ecp...mot in a few weeks and it could be iffy! eek! but if the sun continues to shine she will have some lurrrve!
