Does anyone one the difference between the different varities of N75 valves on available for 1.8Ts ? There seams to be quite a few different varities i,e J,F,C,H etc ?

I have done a search but could only find "Tit-bits" of information !

Cheers,
Jim

F and C are standard on ibizas
J will let boost come on a Little bit earlier and hold it a Little bit longer
H is a race valve

I have tried all of them apart from the H valve. The best one on my car is the N75 J but some people find the J valve = limp mode.

To be honest there is not alot of difference between the one,s that i have tried

dont bother putting a J on, it gives youa huge spike in torque and tails fof very quickley, seen a few great RR graphs from peeps running them! i had one inbetween maps for a bit of fun, F with a decent map is the better choice.

Although revo was designed for a C, but F seems to hold boost better.

Plus you get overboost with a J, so its pointless.

I've got and tried all 3.

C+F dont differ much at all. I struggled to feel a difference.

J produces more boost low down, a higher peak and feels the same top end.

The J feels much better to drive, with it having more low down pull.

Occasionally i do get limp mode however, with a 'negative boost deviation error'. But this is not down to the J, and i tried with C and F also, and got the same error. Usually only happens when its really cold and the boost spikes to 1.2 bar instead of its requested 1.0 bar.

I find the J valve the best for my car. After having my car mapped with a J valve it works perfect!!!

I even tried a C valve a few weeks ago and it surprised me by putting me into limp mode almost straight away

'H' valve is the std valve fitted to 225bhp models.

Race valve is made by a company called ECS.

All the valves vary in resistance.

The race valve has great low down smoothness and hold boost much better.
So what would you reccomend using on a remapped ibiza, and wot would i use on a KO3s'd stage 2 ibiza???

can you damage the n75 having it piped iup incorrectly, i know it wont run right, but having it piped up wrong and running it, then piping it up the right way round. (not entirely my fault but i will chose to ask more people in future lol) hope it hasn't as it was a new valve not long ago.
