First of all you can switch of ESC from multimedia.

VCDS you need only for adding another mods for ESC

The button can be retrofired due that it Leon Cupra it's exist. need only buy the button and wires.

you can see this YouTube video that people do it. I saw many reports hot it can be installed in Octavia A7 and Golf mk7

Main problem of youtube that no one explain how to do it only okay we are done.

Also I see the ELSA electric scheme.

The main problem that i don't know the Leon construction and from where to where need to move wires.

This was a retrofit I was going to do myself and cover on here, but haven't got around to it yet. From what I remember when I was researching it (late last year) you have to run a wire to the ABS pump. Now apparently that can be skipped if you have a certain wire in a plug near the BCM module, but I'd have to try and find where I saw that.

Basically you have to run a wire through the firewall to the ABS pump/controller and hook into a pin there, and connect the other end to the switch in the dash along with some other wires. And some stuff needs to be altered in VCDS. I'll have to look it up again as I didn't make any notes on it at the time.

Hello everybody. HELP!
I have just made the modification on my Seat Leon FR 1.8 (2017) with a professional working for Seat.
We can't find the solution. We followed the connection precisely. The button works but when I press it is combined with the Start & Stop. So that activates the Start & Stop. Do you have a solution? What did we miss?
How exactly did you do it? Do you have a specific diagram or tips? Do I need a coding to activate it?
Thank you very much in advance for helping me :) THANKS THANKS

He is a mechanic friend who worked outside of these working hours. Here is the diagram he made and the result activates or deactivates the Start&Stop ... Do you think you can help me? Is it really without the need for coding? Thank you in advance ...

I don’t think that you use the right scheme. As you can see in the earlier post i add the scheme. The button should be connected to abs connector near engine. For leon exist two different connections. You need check your abs in some cars it’s should ve connected to pin 3 and in another to pin 38 as i remember.

the esp button dont have any connection to start stop

As i understand from other forums this retrofit don’t need any coding. Coding you use only for any another options for esp

We tried again today. We still haven't succeeded. The colors are different, the numbers are different ... There are so many possibilities ... we will do some research. The manufacture is different between each country as well as the years of manufacture ...

So if i understand correctly, if I have a purple/green wire going to the pin 5 of the T17d then it's ok? If so, maybe i can try sending a 12v signal to it to see if it turns the ASR off. What could go wrong? :ROFLMAO:

if there is not any cable, i just have to pull a cable to the ABS controller pin 39.

Just connected mine. And it's working. I will make a tutorial but for now. You buy the switch, 4pins (2 cables) for the switch and one for the abs cable. Then for my 2017 model I connected:
Pin1 of esc button (red connector) to pin 1 of start/stop (black connector)
Pin6 (red connector) to pin 2 (black connector)
Pin7 (red connector) to pin 39 of the abs connector (if you have different connector from the picture from my above post, it's probably the 38pin connector and you have to use pin 4)
And pin 8 (red connector) to fuse 34.

Oh yeeeess, finally the button works. I dropped off my vehicle at an automotive electronics professional and it works. The colors of the cables and the plans are completely different between countries. My car is Swiss, made in Spain. Nothing matches. I don't know how he managed to finish the hookup but it works. Thank you for your comments and your help :)
