if that screw is missing its happened gradually until if fell out then then. my bottom screw came off also so ive used similar sized bolts with nuts so i can see easier if they are coming loose.

you don't have an FMIC (as far as I know) so yours won't be in the same place as mine.

IIRC yours will be right next to the SMIC, or perhaps actually in the intercooler itself....

I think the map sensor does connect directly onto the plastic housing of the smic.
pabs yea air can still get out no matter how tight the two bolts are, imagine throwing a banana down bond street... theres a gap all round. (btw i was going to use a different analogy but might offend some)

so this adapter came with the FMIC kit then? Its not something you need to buy extra?

Just trying to figure in my head as to what should be there, what isnt, and why it isnt there...

Email sent to Richard :) If I'm lucky, it'll turn up when the car is in the garage for the problem - if not, I'll attempt to fit it myself. Can't see the adapter being that hard to fit?

brendy, can you confirm this? Simply take MAP sensor off (torx?) put insert in, re-connect MAP sensor?

yup sensor off, fit the adaptor to either the sensor then push back on or else onto the pipe then tighten. one of the easier bits of mechanicking (HA!) Ive done.

ok thanks mate. I'm assuming its just a push-fit job then?

Hope this is the cause of the leak.... although no idea why its shown up now and not straight after install.....?

Push fit yea. as for why, dunno, but if i was you id have the whole bumper off and refit all the pipes some sunny afternoon, with the days getting shorter again, i'd do it soon and enjoy the colder weather.

hoping garage will look on thurs and perhaps do that to check anyway.
I've checked the lower hose of the two - take off front grille around towing eye and checked it - just can't get up to the top one.

Dunno how to take the bumper off either :( But i suppose i should learn!

bumper is easy enough, two oval covers off the front of the bumper, undo the wheel arches and off she comes, dont forget foglights need disconnecting.

undo the wheel arches? I can take off, or at least partly take off the lining which has all those torx screws along the outside edge... I'm assuming theres screws underneath that for the bumper?

By the way, i really appreciate all the help you guys are giving! I owe you a beer or 3... :)
