Though i am beginning to wonder why they bother having a media site in the public domain, then embargo the contents.
Yeah, same here! Also I kinda wonder why it's not allowed to even post a link here when anyone can find it with Google. Oh well, it's fine. :)

So, it looks like we get:
Cupra style bumpers front and back
17" wheels similar in style to the Cupra's
new seat fabric similar to the original Leon Cupra's
more stylish and shapely steering wheel (without remote radio controls)
restyled main dials
new gear knob similar to Fabia VRS
new badging
chrome handbrake button?
new rear wiper.

Anything else?

Yep xenon headlamps

I like that red FR.

Maybe they realised a lot of Ibiza MK4 owners changed the rear wiper and also the Cupra bumpers are becoming more common, so they decided to make them standard?

Ib1 FR - Im pretty sure this has been discussed in another thread, with the out coming being a no. Tho im not 100% sure so dont quote me on it. Try seaching for it.

Smithy - Id have to disagree im afriad, the iccle 1.2's are going to look stupidly sporty on the outside now! I remember when I had my old 1.2 everyone thought it had more under the hood as "looked sporty" well to me the blueish/green one isnt a FR, yet looks pretty damn "sporty" to me!

Tho where this now places the Cupra is another matter.

All this will make mine (and other pre-facelift MK4 FR's) look alot less "sporty" infact, with 1.2's driving around looking more sporty than the old FR's this should be interesting.

This is going to make mine look like a not so powerful version which is exactly what I want the chavs to believe :brucelee:

The Cupra is obviously absent from the photo listings, but reading the press release, kind of points at the Cupra looking different now to the other cars, to distinguish it. As the car is officially launched at Geneva late next month, id expect the Cupra to surface in time for that show. Especailly as they've made reference to it.

SEAT have probably felt the need to compete with others. Look at Corsa's, Fiesta's etc, a lot of bog standard stuff is marketed as "sporty" and duely styled.

Hope the Cupra doesn't disappoint ;)
