:D no problem m8
save your own skin
i guess the danger is, engine rods and the turbo its self, not saying there going to blow up as mine has been running high for ages, its more prolonging the life :)
tell helen im spending this money as im prolonging the life of my first love hahahaha

! Some how dont think that would go down to well!

One of my mates is coming round to check out my car on the weekend because he wants one now then I can start spending his money:D.

Supose its better safe than sorry so thats now been added to the list and it would be a good excuse to go meet Bill and the Badger 5 team.

So when you planning on taking me out in your beast then?!

Cool have fun cleaning, I love cleaning it's sweet! Oil leak sorted then? I think I read on your thread it was to do with the dip stick which would make sense if the leak only came about after doing the inlet manifold. Hopefully you have got it all sorted now and you can put it to rest :)

yeah i think its the dipstick as the tube wasnt sat down properly by 10mm, this is because that new insulator gasket makes everything 10mm further away from the mani, and the bracket for the dipstick tube is on the mani. cleaning oil isnt fun m8 lol

Cheers mate.

Yeah I know i was surprised when I found out how much it cost but ive seen it in action and it looks like it will be a handy little tool to have.

I do want to get VAG COM at some point but I dont think its works for Macs.

hello nick, what advice did bill give you?

Alright mate.

He told me that if its spiking at 25 psi thats a little to high as he worrys about the rods and that the cars map sensor can only read 22psi. He gave me prices for the mbc, fitting and the set up.

Forge Unos is £59+vat
fitting and dyno setup is £65+vat

So thinking about doing it but might have to wait till next pay check.

One question Sam, when you boot the car now does it not spike anymore by this i mean does it just boost right up to 20 psi and stay there?

yes thats right, goes straight to 20psi and stays there. how the mbc works is, anything over 20psi is leaked out so the turbo cant make any more pressure.

Ok cool thats how i thought it worked. Did Bill have to tweak the map or anything to suit the MBC? I was chating to a mate at work today and he was saying because my cars been mapped if i turn down the boost the car would be overfueling making it run to rich?

no he didnt have to tweek the map. the fueling will adjust its self by the air flow reading from your maf, there is never a set amount of fuel. bill will make sure everything is running sweet before you leave.

LOL cheers Sam!

So just so everyone knows what Sams refering too. I got my forge upper boost hoses today and fit them on the car. Took the car for a quick blast once I finished as you do, and pop went the weasel :drive2:!! Biggest bang I've ever heard in a car before LOL. Looks like I forgot to tighten up one of the clamps:doh:!luckly Sam being the great guy he is come and saved the day so cars all good to go now. Just put the hose back on TIGHT and cleared all the faults.

Lesson learnt, when changing boost hoses ensure all clamps are done up tight before test driving it :D

I'll post some pics later of the engine bay.
