About six months ago i fitted the oil catch tank and today i thought i would have a look.
:-o what is all that crud, if i had not got a catch tank this would be in the pipes and intercoolers and its only after six months. All i can say is look at the pic's and go and buy one.

I have one of these in the making, getting it welded up, sight gauge included. That is nasty stuff in there! Are you getting water mixing with your vapour or losing any coolant, even a small amount? Looks like the mayonaisse you can get under the oil cap with coolant leaks etc.

by the way, with my catch can, it only has a hole in the bottom to drain crap out and its pretty much a sealed unit, but is it ok to spray like some detergent in it to clear it out once in a while?

Is there an idiots guide to fitting one ( the idiot i refer to is me lol )

you and me in the same boat mate

something needs blocking off right, as the catch can only has two fitments, one from the block and the other feed back into the block, but is there not somewhere which needs to be blocked off?

Pipe from the crankcase breather (top of oil filter housing) comes up and joins pipe from rocker cover breather. Pipe into catchtank. Pipe out of catchtank to road (or into tip)
