I've just spent half an hour re-reading this, trying to find out info on aero wipers

I'm sure I've read that you retro fitted facelift aero wiper arms but I'm starting to think I imagined it

Did you fit them? And if you did, how much were they and how do you rate them?

My current arms are looking a bit grubby and I have Bosch aero converted wipers on it but they don't really clear the edges properly. Do the facelift arms have the same problems?

Facelift arms and wiper blades are much better - the retrofit ones work OK, but not great.

The arms and wipers came off ebay for about £20 - I got a bargain :)

Cheers. I'll have a look about eBay and ask dave at Sere how many kidneys I need to sell for new ones

Do you have any pics of the bit where the arm connects to the blade? I've seen some before that look massive but not sure if they were standard or retro fit ones

Great looking car, where did you get the upper side grills from that match the lower grill, looks a lot better than the side strip ones if that makes any sense :\

Wow... Only just seen your question, sorry! Side grills came from a main dealer I think, previous owner fitted them but I would have done the same anyway :)
Car still going well, although in dire need of a clean inside and out, and soon due a service. Still less than 50k miles on the clock too! :)

Ah the LCR... I always wanted one of those and was looking at them until I got this one. Not unhappy with my choice :)

However think I won't have this car too much longer as aiming to upgrade to an Audi 2.0T after house move is all completed and I've got a bit of dosh!

Car has just about hit 58k now - still going very strong with only a few minor niggles/wear and tear :)
Unfortunately I need 2 new tyres this week before my MOT next week, but car should still pass with flying colours.

I have a hankering for an S3 in the near future, but will need to wait for funds to amass themselves in my account (haha)

Glad to hear all is still well with the car Pabs. S3s still seem to fetch decent money. My mate has one on a 2010 plate in blue; they're certainly more refined. Worth the money if you were to stick with it for a while, IMO.

Fingers crossed for the MOT, but I'm sure it'll be fine :)

Everything still perfect on the car, just under 60k now! Seriously looking at bigger cars now, very interesting in an A4 2.0Tfsi and if I can find one, one of the DTM's from 2006 ish. Need a 5 door and seems to fit the bill.
Really not sure what my ibiza is worth now though, gut feeling is between 3 and 4k I think? ...

probably closer to 3k mate. friend just sold his mk4 cupra with 55k on it after it was for sale for 4 months! got £3200 for it.

when i traded in my 57 plate 1.8t fr in december (64k on the clock) I got £3800 for it as a trade in though!

Yeah, probably somewhere around there - although there are some very similar cars on autotrader/pistonheads at over 4k, but they are probably trying their luck. I know copra's usually demand a little more than an FR, but usually not by much.

Recon I'd probably remove some of the mods (easy ones to take off) and sell them separately unless someone into their cars wanted it as-is.

I can't get rid of it yet though, as don't have enough for a new car. :p Doesn't stop me looking though!

Well.. not much of an update now as I'm simply just using and looking after the car!

I'm actually starting to look at replacement cars now - hopefully staying VAG with either an Octavia VRS or Leon FR. Either will have to be a diesel now due to my work commute of 60 mile round trip a day.

Will be removing some of the mods from this car and then selling the car. Most likely going to part-ex it in unless I manage to get a decent deal elsewhere.

The Ibiza? She's still going very strong with only 66k on the clock. Fantastic car but I now need a 5-door practical car!
