I had the roof and the splitter done and cost £240.

As its a Cupra the mirrors are already black gloss.

The guys that did mine are carbonskin give them a ring.

Thats my first trip sorted then! get some miles under it's belt before I get it chipped/mapped.

Deann, is that photo not a FL with the K1 front? My facelift has the skirts and I'm not sure the skirts look right now. There is a thread on here with a front/oblique view and the new front spoiler looks too high for the skirts. It looks good from the side and rear though.
It's made me think about having mine removed especially when I see mine from that angle. As soon as I get enough posts I'll be posting pics for opinions.

Love your front spoiler, definately looking into getting that done.

hello mate...

What i have seen done is as the FL front bumper is set a little higher..

Turn the side skirt round or swap sides.. so the deeper section is at the rear of the car and the slimmer section at the front looks a lot better..

i know this has got a K1 Kit on but as you can see the side skirts are wider and lower at the back now and that looks good on the FL Cupra with the slightly highter front end..

Just swap sides with yours.

What you think?

Those skirts are fitted the wrong way round, plus the jacking covers won't line up with the jack points.

Mmm looks ok, but not sure bout those jacking covers either. I'd Like to see the front view. They might be wrecked once removed anyway, depending what they have been stuck on with.

Anyway I've booked it into a body shop to have them taken off. They estimated about £150 including paint if the sills need spraying.

Two weeks to make my mind up wether to have it done or not

On the evidence of what i've just seen froggy, if i was having a FL FR with the standard front bumper i'd have it made look like a cupra's (with the extra black bit/bits) and have the sideskirts stuck on the other way round after taking them off in your case.
Then hopefully the paint job would also be reduced to a minimum level as it's the same surface area getting stuck back on.

I think its an obvious but genius solution to the new front bumper being raised and solves the problem of the sideskirts looking slightly odd from certain angles. :D

Original black diffuser back bumper & the new facelift spoiler to go with it! :funk:

why do you only have 2 weeks to decide?

"why do you only have 2 weeks to decide?"

because it's booked in for the 17th, demonear. It's a good solution though and one I'll consider when they're removed. I can get the body shop to temporarily fasten them on and see what I think before deciding.

If I go for the standard look then I might be able to sell them and recoupe some of the extra expense.

Have you decided on the look for yours yet?

I'm torn between what i just described to you with the side skirts in reverse or basically what steve's looks like.

I'm sure both would look great either way!
