Hey guys.
Wanting to tidy up the engine bay and wanting some ideas.

I have a black LCR and have also changed most of the hoses to red forge hoses but now wanting to change the inlet manifold, rocker cover and charge pipe.
Have been having a look and see a lot of people have polished their parts which looks nice but I was thinking of a more shiney really dark polished colour for them. I know what I mean but have no way of really explaining it

Anyone got some pics of their parts and has anyone powder coated them instead?

I think the manifold has been chromed.
Cos the car is black it will make them look darker than mine does

Do you know any companies that will do it?
Should really e-mail Empi5 to fine out :p

Can you also get smoother rocker covers or can I just cut/file the pointed parts down?
Have removed the engine cover now and won't be putting back on

Fancy doing all mine as well?
Getting a new clutch fitted in the next week or so and a mate is going to do it on my drive so car will be out of action for a while so wouldn't mind sending it all off to get done in one go

I have heard of nightmare stories where the powder coating was done inside too, so just make sure it is only the outside that gets done.

If you want a polished charge pipe I do them for £50 exchange + P&P.
I will send you a polished pipe and brackets and then you send me yours when you fit the new one.

Thay take about 8 hours to strip and polish and it is quite a messy job.

If your intrested P.M me

Do you know how this has been done? Looks a lot darker shine

Been to a powder coating company and the same kind of effect can be achieved with a dark silver gloss powder coat.
Has anyone had any experiences with powder coating? Do you think the same dark shine can be achieved this way?
