You don't have a cat and you haven't had it custom mapped?

It won't smell like fuel it's unburnt oil mate that the overfueling has allowed to get through

i had the cat mapped out when went stage 2, then plugged vag com in car 1 day an that put car into limp mode an wouldnt rev over 5 k or boost higher then 5 then stuck a friends tuning sps thing in to get car out limp mode an hasnt been same since, been told may be a blocked breather system. is it only 1 hose that goes into the tip for the breather system?

Running a tuning box on an already custom mapped car is bound for trouble.

i took to local tuner that are mapping my hybrid an he said its not running peak power but its running good on fuel air ration an other things, he had plugged in computer to make sure cars ok, dont no why vagcom put in limp mode ??

Sounds to me like it's map/ECU related, having to plug a tuning box in just to get it out of limp mode, has virtually altered the map to get it running again but not as it should. It's overfueling, again the mapper should be able to sort these things.

You plugged in vag com and did you run any fault code scans?

Seems quite messed up in there tbh mate, removed the tuning box since and disconnected the battery negative for half hour to see if it runs back on the stage 2? Remember your radio code if you do this.

Anyways change the coolant temp sensor and see if it solves the fluctuating temp issue

its not a tuning box but coulndt take back down south to amd to get original map back on so got a basic seting on it, will change sensor tomorro an see if it helps at all. thanks for help mate

Whatever it is mate adding a Revo map to an already custom stage 2 is gonna make the ECU think wtf lol.

Best thing to do is straighten the map out, change the sensor, then go from there regards your hybrid turbo, possibly by a different mapper who did it before.

Oh in that case no need to get basic setting put back on just make sure the SP2 is removed when the custom is done.

Hopefully the temp sensor will sort your random temp readings too.

havnt bothered changing temp sensor today, went an had a little drive an its smoking all the time so got to take turbo off again an send it away for new seals :-(

was booked in foor map monday but going to have to wait :-(

What's made you think it's the seals?

spoke to 2 garages an they both said seems like seals, old turbo wasnt this bad so thats all can think it is. its eating oil 2

There's other things it could be that's causing blue smoke mate, wasn't the turbo a new one fitted? Could we be if it was not new.

Having a custom map then an SP3 box plugged in is going to confuse the ECU like mad, filling the coolant up with total coolant isn't a great idea, and god knows why vag com sent the car into limp mode.

dont no what else to check, engine breather system is out system :-( im stuck . guy at garage said wouldnt cause loads of cmoke like it is :-(

just to let you no changed engine temp sensor which was 25 quid, an still had smoke engine breather system was ok so took of turbo intake pipe an lots of play in shaft so taking turbo off tomorro an sending off to be repaired an see what cause of damage was, thanks for help, not looking forward to changing turbo over again though,

Aww what about the changing temperature mate, did it cure that?

Wasn't the turbo a new one then?

the turbo was a second hand hybris. guy who had before me snapped a rod so put car to standard an sold it, cr turbo will inspec an hopefully do work for cheap as with new seals. just hope shaft is ok as there about 300 quid :-( should have back before christmas taking off tomorro morning an should be picked up in afternoon.
