Yeah, please do mate... I will be interested to hear the result. Hope its not the slave as that sounds like a nightmare!![]()
Although, I do agree that while the G/B is off, might as well do the clutch and bearing kit if the car has done a few miles. Hopefull it won't come to that though!
Good luck!
Ok so finally after approximatly 10 days at the garage I finally got my beloved LCR back. he changed the Master cylinder over. Total cost for the fix £187.40 not bad considering the amount of time he had it.
Went out for a drive that night, nothing to crazy - and low and behold it starts to happen again. Following morning and I pretty much have no clutch. I honestly believe it felt worse than when I originally took it in.
Garage offered to look after me, bought it back down, he had another look over and said it had to be the Slave Cylinder. he better be right. Ive been told its a nsaty job having to remove the gearbox and clutch in order to get to it. So the cars back in having the slave replaced.
I love this car - Ive had it just over 12 months, 56k on the clock and only spent a total of £290 on it. That included uprated brake pads and fitting, 50k Service and this bloody master cylinder.
BUT! not sure how long ill keep this LCR now to be honest. It does seem that anytime I speak to somebody about their LCR they seem to have a LOVE HATE relationship with it. It seems unless your continuely spend money on mantainence (which is fine if ya rich) its a car that seems to be go wrong. Man..... I hate saying that cause I love my motor. I think when somethng goes worng with anything you own, you just get a little disgrunteld.
Here's hoping.
