Car passed MOT but advisory on brake pads all round

been quoted £170 inc of vat from the stealers

does this seem reasosnable?

(I don't do mechanics so dont say have a go myself )

You could easily get a decent set of Mintex all round from a local Motorfactor for cheaper.

Ring round, if you know any decent inderpendents in your area then you'll probably find it cheaper, but if as you say you dont do mechanics.. for pure ease then sure £170 seems alright if it includes everything. Fronts only?

I'd have to say that seems an alright price, i know that you're looking at £100 in parts for Mintex and then a couple hours labour so £170 seems fair (to me). Sorry i cant be more helpful.

I recon thats a good price for fronts and rears, the previous owner paid £240 for the same from the stealers.
