hey mate, just saw this thread. Like the fact you're also working on a golf salloon, although here in the netherlands this is known as a Vento; not a jetta (not sure if thats what you said in your first post??)
Older cars will always have problems. Especially the ones that drive very little. Once you start them hoses are bound to break.
Although I am not fully sure why you're having the work done by a
dealer (
dealer??). Buy the hoses yourself and replace; should be a relatively easy job.
As for the wrong coilovers I would be very sure to check before you return them and buy others. The
Seat dealer close to me had my car for a general check, as the guy who bought it wanted that done, and they said that all 4 springs were broken which was really really dangerous! Note, they were coilovers and the 'broken' springs were the helper springs all coilovers have LOL!!
besides that, nice car mate. But maybe get your own hands dirty and replace the stuff yourself. Will create new love for the car
