Query on my tax band for Ibiza Cupra..

Evening All,

I am now the proud owner of a grey Seat Ibiza Cupra. It is a 55 plate, registered in 06. :D (another query here on the colour... it is registered as silver but actually looks more like the zenith grey colour.... any ideas?!)

Now, on the Seat website the it states the Cupra has EMISSIONS
CO2 (g/km) 1.8 20V T 180 as 180 which would place it in a band E.

On my V5 document it states it as 190 which obviously places it in a higher tax band.

Does anyone have any information as to why this would be? I am confused!

Thanks!

Just wandered out and took a look at the Tax on mine.

It says 190G/Km CO2, which puts it in band F.

Cost for tax was £205.00. The Seat site is probably just incorrect, as a quick check on the DVLA site confirms band F on all Cupra's.

Er, there is no "new" model Cupra, they are being phased out already. Mine was also new just 7 weeks ago, and it's unlikley that anything has been done to trim it's emissions.

Like I said, just a typo on thier part - DVLA have them indexed in band F, and that is what you will pay. These's no escaping it!

I know what you mean, it caught me out too. Even the steeler wasn't sure!

Yep indeed no escaping the tax man..

By new I meant this statement on the Seat website
"Current specification of all models reflect model year 2008 specification."

Cheers for your help!
