Did as you suggested and auto wipers working again, still got the aircon databus error though.
Il run a diagnostic scan on my car tomorrow to see if theres any fault code. I have no warning lights on my dash

Would you believe my correctly illuminated Seat auto switch got lost in the Dutch postal system, just my luck, at least I got my money back.

Fitted a Golf MK7 version for now and can confirm that Auto lights including CH/LH are working fine.
Sadly still got aircon databus fault after a scan.

Is it possible to change the auto light sensitivity (EDIT: found this setting) and tunnel mode time setting & if so how please?

I’m not familiar with VCDS but it looks like it’s the same fault as I reported

Ive taken blower display in auto mode off, but it hasnt eliminated the fault code. Clearing the 2 fault codes im left with 1

This fault will be linked to sunlight sensor error. When deactivating it upon changing rhls sensor, we might ve half completing the deinstallation of sunlight sensor

You could be right, maybe another setting requires changing that we are not currently aware of?

As there isn't a screenshot record (just text) on here of how to go about activating auto lights on a Facelift, I thought I would post up screenshots of the OBD11 method which make make it a bit clearer for those that haven't already carried out the mod.
Obviously you need to fit the modified sensor and auto light switch beforehand.

Fire up OBD11 and go to 09 Central Electronics - Adaptations, now follow the next 3 pictures (check that you have the same values as those marked with an X)

Now go to 5F Infotainment and follow the next 2 pictures (check that you have the same values as those marked with an X)

I find that my auto lights are too sensitive when set to normal. I note than in OBD11 it has 3 settings SENSITIVE, NORMAL & NONE SENSITIVE, am I right in thinking NONE SENSITIVE really means less sensitive?

Hi. Just about to embark on this retrofit. Is there a difference between the 5Q0955547A and B version of the sensor ? Or is the B just the latest version.?

Set to ‘not sensitive’ there is no discernible difference IMO
