Rear Brake Discs - 2013 MK3 Seat Leon 1.6 TDI

Hello,
I was hoping for some help with this. have a MK3 2014 Seat Leon 1.6 TDI manual (with the manual handbrake). I am looking to replace the rear brake pads and the rear brake discs. I am just slightly confused by one thing.
What is the diameter and height supposed to be for my car?
Some websites GSF Halford, Euro CarI Parts et.. . show 253mm diameter and 51mm height whereas others show 272mm diameter and 48mm height. There's also one with a diameter of 272mm and height of 58mm!
Can someone help?
(It's my first time changing discs and pads so no hate, go easy on me)

I also have another issue... my rear driver side door doesn't open from the outside but it opens from the inside. I can hear the locking mechanism fine when I lock the car. I took the door panel off to have a look. The handle seems like its pulling fine (see picture, exterior door handle is pulled when this picture was taken) but it just won't open?

I didn't experience anything like that and don't know much about lock mechanisms so can't help there, sorry. Try asking that in the forum, someone may give you an idea on where to look.

Just sent it over via private message. To note, I spoke to seat main dealer and they couldn't help with my enquiry. The system only shows them the disc diameter

I assume so too. I am just confused about the height of the disc as they vary? (48mm, 51mm and 58mm)

Not sure what you mean by "height", but there are only two relevant size properties of a disc: diameter and thickness, like 253x22, both in millimeters.

The height - is the total disc height, as published by some aftermarket parts.
The 22 in the 253x22 is the disc thickness.
The 253 and 272 diameter versions do have different heights.

Looking at a 2014 leon i'm sure your rear disc will be:
5Q0615601F = 253X10MM 5/112
As it was only the 180tsi and 184tdi to get the 272 rear disc.

There are different versions (heights) of the 253mm disc depending on VAG model - so make sure your disc matches the OE number I shared.

Some tips on a rear brake job.

Most important is to get the hub spotless. Clean it as best you can and then clean it a little more. Don't cover it in grease.
Pads need to be able to slide smoothly, so clean the pad abutment contact points in the caliper carrier.
Ensure the caliper slide pins slide smoothly.
The caliper pistons shouldn't be too stiff.
You'll need to wind back the piston (by pushing it in and turning clockwise at the same time) - I have done this on occasions with some long nose pliars but much easier with a cheap piston wind back tool.
On some versions you can remove the discs without removing the caliper carrier - though I don't like doing this, as its easiest to clean the carrier off the car in a vice, and it good to periodically undo the tight caliper carrier bolts so they don't seize.
Carrier bolt torque is 90Nm + 90 deg.
Caliper bolt torque is 35Nm.
While you're down, there check other parts like wheel bearings, shocks, brake lines etc..

Official parts catalog doesn't give any info about the height, just because it gives the exact part number and the PR codes, so as long as the part number matches, height info is not needed, I believe. I always love to have extra data but in this case it seems only to add to the confusion.

It's my first time changing brakes (and even jacking a car up for that matter) so watching plenty of YouTube videos also ive got all the bits I need (silicon grease, copper grease, wind back tool, all the sockets and what not). Yeah sorry to be confusing. Ive attached screenshots of the discs ive ordered. Looks to be the right ones hopefully (used the numberplate search on GSF, the website also says it IS compatible with my car)

@SuperV8 already gave the information but I checked anyway using your VIN and as he said it is 253x10 and part number is 5Q0615601F.
Your rear brake system PR code is 1KD, in case that info is included on the aftermarket parts sites you're looking at.
Disks are packaged as single units so you'll need two.

You had also asked about the pads; the part number is 5Q0698451M, it comes as a set of two, so you'll need to order just one.
