removing steering rack (how)

hi guys as some of you no im stripping cupra for bits full car . i would like to no how to take steering rack off. any guides or pics will be great any help will be appriciated

It's bolted to the subframe via 4x10mm nuts/bolts.

Remove the 13mm bolts that connects it to the steering column (under the big rubber surround).

Then remove the track rod ends from the rack, 17mm or 19mm spanner I think.

Then all the lines etc.

Finally remove the 4 bolts holding it on

It's probablys a pain in the arse job to do when the subframe is still attached to the car though.

i did exactly what was said above except it was loads easier when i dropped the subframe down around 2 inches

ok cheers guys droping that and engine in week. how the hel do you get steering wheel off and dash out. ive took all bolts out and dash moves but its still tight at the top by windscreen any veiws guys

dash removed . nearly there now
