- Firstly disconnect the battery.
- Then locate the two holes at the back of the steering wheel which house the securing clips for the airbag.
- Once you find the holes, insert at stubby screwdriver or something to undo the clips.
- Once the airbag is released unclip the wire that connects it.
- Then there should be one main bolt that secures the steering wheel to the column. Undo that and the wheel should come off.
there should be a detonator behind the air bag if its the same behind there as the octavias. with a yellow dot in the middle i believe make sure that dont go over the green lines either side of when removing. i thinks thats the right colours anyway.
im not even sure the seat range have them but i know the octavias do from when i worked there.
you dont even have to disconnect the battery its just a precaution either way dont turn the ignition on in the process.
