So, from what I can tell so far...

MAF
The MAF looks fine, as on WOT I get around 173-177g/s which divided by 0.8 is approx 221bhp - which is similar to what I saw from the rolling road day.

VAC Leak
Idle fuel trims are saying 0.4% (+2% is out of range).. so doesn't look like a VAC leak

O2 Sensor
Block 032 is returning values for Idle and Partial, however, these values are always the same... 0.4% for idle and -7 for partial... whether I'm actually idling or WOT - should these be changing at all?

If I look at block 031, the lambda for actual and spec is VERY close.. which at first glance looks correct, but on deceleration it jumps quite wildy.. from 6500rpm down to idle it is 1.991 actual and should be 1.047 - 1 specified? - but then again this could be the injectors being shut off as my foot is off the throttle? it's strange that the spec still says it should be around 1 though.

Fuel Filter
Not sure how I can test this? It might be worth replacing anyway though as it's a fairly cheap part.



Do any of these figures scream lean to you? things generally look normal to me, apart from the deceleration fuel trims.

Edit: Actually, looking at block 031 again, the very last value at 6320rpm, it says the fuel trim is 0.883 - that looks out of place. Does that indicate lean or rich though.

on overrun injectors switch off until 1700rpm so it will go lean.. under load is where you need to look.

this dyno you took it to. are they at all familiar with these cars?
its doing what its maps asking it to do as std.. = normal

That makes sense then.

They are a performance / tuning garage, but not VAG specific (http://www.wilkinsonsvehiclesolutions.co.uk/). Why do you ask?

Looking at the AFR then, it mainly sticks to an AFR of 14 the whole way - shouldn't it richen up towards the end? I'm going to take a third gear run tonight as I don't think the second gear run has given me enough figures to be sure about...

stock full load lamfa is 0.953 on factory map.
thats how seat made them.

only enrichment will be under egt's when they hit 920c or under sustained knock.. where load would drop off also

I ask about the garage as their surprise at this lean running is how they are as std, and yes, its leaner than you would expect, and not how you would do it when tuning thats for sure.

log 112 and 031, 118 to see what it does when it gets hot....

920c it will fuel dump in component protection mode

logging 032 is pointless btw - 031 is the active one, 032 is just the periodic stored adapted fuel adaption.
