Hey buddy, there is a connector but no wire coming out of it. I'm going to upload a video for you. The car was damaged from (front)passenger side maybe the cable has been damaged. Thats why its not connected to the pump.

something like this:

link removed

probably cheaper if you can find someone with a cable near you.

I'm not from the UK so can't help :(

That looks like a "rip off" version, no RossTech royalties paid there I'd expect!

High risk and no help if you get into trouble!

Okay if you regularly do a bit of shoplifting.

I was reticent to put the link here, I have no idea what's official or not regarding the vcds... Is there any official version cheap?

Maybe find a garage for them to do it for you. As long as you tell them what you want to do, and they have the right tool, wich they should have it will be no problem.

PS: The cause the pump has the incorrect code is because apparently at some poing someone replaced it by a pump beloging to a car without ESP and didn't change the coding to the correct one. Very common among pumps fitted outside the dealer, almost no one knows they require coding.

I think that the problem is if you buy the legal VCDS Lite version, you are very limited to what you can use it for, ie I don't think that you can make coding changes - which is exactly what you are suggesting is needed here.

Ohh, makes sense now because you knew exactly whats wrong with it.

I was talking about this thread. Have a look at this and play around with the x - 112x1 (code) try different values such as 3 or 4 this may resolve your issue.

No, in my case it's the steering box or suspension. Alredy played with that and made no difference.
