Hey. Im new so go easy

Ive been viewing a few Tdi's and defo want one.

Keen on the 130bhp but trying to find onewith my price range.

Next question

what leather upgrades can u fit to these if possible?

And is there anything i should watch for when looking at one.

can't help with the leather question

as for what to look for, apart from the obvious things to look at with a second hand car....accident dammage, hooky milage etc
I would pay good attention to the clutch slipping and clonky suspension when going over bumps and also on full lock

oh yeah check that the windows go up and down without any funny noises

well i drove the 1.4 16v tonight from a Arnold Clark Dealer and there was 3k missin from the clocks. i think it was a spelling error and the N/s/r was all rippled.

The leather i was just wondering about, Didnt know if any upgrades from other seats would fit.

IIRC leather was never an option on the IBiza, but if your feeling flush and have a spare £800 it can be done. Some of the guys on Briskoda have done it, and IIRC there's a MK4 Ibiza thats been done.

Coilovers are around £550 for a decent bunch.

If the car is at 60k make sure the Cambelt AND Waterpump are both changed. OE pumps are plastic and are prone to failure at 60-100k and take about 4 hours to fit (but can be done along with the cambelt for not much) Bits of a Pish take for a £20 part!

Lower rear wishbone bushes are also known to go form about 2years/40k id say. If they have voids in them they will need replacing for non-maintenece cupra bushes eventually (probably for about £140 all in at a specialist).

Not much else really, just make sure its had the proper oil in and a decent history, then the engine will out last everything else

See the link, thats mine on coilovers, doesn't look that low but its as low as the arches and sump will take...

Oh and ive just turned 20 with all mods declared for a v. reasonable price...

Ive to see a Ibiza Tdi same colour as yours. Im 21 next montt but have no claims as i got banned but with no points tho. Silly thing i did but we all pay a price i guess

Cheers mate! it was 1200 but thats because it's two colours (more wastage) and the most expensive leather i could find.

Single colour and same leather quality would cost more like 600
