If you want a good, high quality 'bling' brace then it has to be the Weichers/AAT polished alloy strut brace. Just be prepared to wait 2-3 months for delivery! Fitting mine soon (images show trial fit)!

I bought the Raid-rdi strut brace. It really is very light and well built. Hope to fit it during March. Will keep you posted.

Hi

I have not yet bought a Cupra R, soon hopefully. At present i drive an MGZS 180 2.5 V6.

The question i have is:

The strut braces available for the LCR are there any that fit without drilling the car at all, just bolt straight onto the strut top mountings etc?

Please Advise

This thread is very long so this may have already been answered....

Has any one done a guide for fitting the Audi Upper and lower strut braces?

If not could some one please, it would be a great help thanks

Should be fitting my upper and lower braces this weekend... or rather, I should be getting a few mates to!!!

Will try and take fsome photos on the way...

And you know the 1st steps of the "how to" will be

1) Find a mate that's an ex-mechanic, and bribe him with beer

2) Remember not to give him the beer until AFTER the job is complete, otherwise you'll waste the beer, and the job will still not be done.

3) try not to drink the beer while the mate fits the braces...

Seriously tho, I'll be taking notes...

Did someone mention beer  ,i quite like Becks ,how about you Mike. Rog don't turn up in your best gear ,its not a beauty contest(good job)! and you will be going underneath your car and getting dirty. :p  Andy

Fitted Rog's S3 upper brace today had to do a little bit of modding to get it to fit around bonnet lifter, but was only to remove about 2mm from brace.Used stainless bolts etc for rust prevention and after drilling holes hoovered up swarf and painted all bare metal with touch up kit.Looks factory ,not sure how its affected handling ,so will leave Rog to post that up. WARNING LEON R MODEL DOES NOT NEED LOWER BRACE ,IT IS FITTED AS STANDARD. .Fitted Samco hoses too TIP wasn't too bad a job ,but n/s hose didn't sit right so i removed a bit of pipe off each end too get it too fit ,but i took too much off one end :hide: ,managed to sort it out though with Shock Xe 's help.We urm forgot to reconnect Maf sensor though  so Rog had a fault code, but Mike sorted it with VAGCOM . Andy.
