SEAT's have soft wheels?

These wheels on my new Ibiza are driving me mad. Now the front wheel has damage like my rear one.

Are Seat wheels made soft? I've looked at all the other wheels on similar reg cars and they look fine.

I've never had a car for 3 weeks and driven for 250miles only to find two wheels damaged. I haven't curbed them so it must be road damage. Does anyone else have this issue with the new wheels on a Seat?

Odd mate as I would not say they are soft! Easily kerbed though if the car as the dunlop sp sport 2000 tyres though as the sidewalls havent really got any "alloy kerb protection"

and the front is the same. It's not curb damage and I've only gone 250 miles so far.

Looks like something has hit it anyways... when your driving the wheels are going round so a knock or bump would make it a longer mark.

Looks like a kerb has caused that to be honest, although perhaps a stone from another car has hit it.

Never has this sort of thing happen to me. Are the wheels vibrating as you drive?

The laquer on my sport wheels started to come off when i got a stone chip.

They are getting fixed as i type. Ready to be put back on in the winter.

So even aftermarket wheels will do this then?

I made a deal with the dealership to have one replaced at cost which is about £100 pounds compared to £232

How long do you wait before a refurb?

ive never curbed mine just stone chips reck them i work in a body shop and ive had my wheels off at 6am and they were on the car painted and referbed by 10ish oh yeah and it was free

I may get the wheel they take off refurbed to see how good it is and then get them done from time to time. Can you tell they are refurbed?

Also why is it that my Y reg Focus has imaculate wheels for its age. Sure it shows a bit of curb damage on the front wheels, but the backs look great.

I spent the day at the beach looking at all the cars and most of the newer 04, 05, 06, and 07 cars look great, even the ones that aren't looked after don't have rock damage to them. I've never had an allow get rock damage, now I have two wheels within three weeks, and I haven't even got above 80 but once.

I recently damaged my wheels- had my car for over a year from new and the wheels were spotless up until saturday when a mystery mark appeared... only thing i can think of is a pothole or something similar? could a large pothole put a big mark on the wheels?

i love seat but the bodywork is pants as the panneldent easily and the paint chips scratches marks easy too im absoloutly anal about my car and i work in a bodyshop so ive had the car/wheels sprayed at least 3-4 times and ive waxed it on friday and have waxed it today and in that weekend ive done hardley any miles and ive got a stone chip on the roof the tailgate and a big 1 on my newly sprayed n/s 1/4 pannel

I've never had a problem with the bodywork on any of my three Seat's.

All have been mint condition, apart from my current car has a slight kink in the roof but that was a stone that someone threw at it - thats going to get filled an touched up and the car will be perfect again.

My wheels have seen better days, some kerbing marks but it was like that when I bought it. One day I'll buy another set of wheels and put them on it.

I'm like you RashCupra. I am very anal about my cars. Especially the ones bought new. If I wanted a car to just drive I could have got anything. i bought this one for performance and show. It just hurts when you get marks in it. Wheel or otherwise.
