on the edge of reason
i'm looking to replace all the smaller vac pipes and coolant hoses etc.
i'm going to get some 3, 4, 8mm piping but what lengths of each and which other diamiters do i need?
thanks in advance.
adam

what not just buy a coolant kit from somewhere like SFS, or is it just cheaper for you to cut to length your own hoses ?

think its cheaper to just cut my own but didn't even think of getting a coolant kit.
was gonna replace all the vac pipes and see what others peeps sugested to do while i'm at it.
i've read of people buying a meter or so of different diameters from ebay and was hoping someone would give me point in the right direction...

cheers adam.

Here's my bay - done it this weekend. Simple enough to do! Done the 2 inthe left 8mm then follow those along and there are another 2 (under the strut brace) which I did 8mm. Then the one from the throttle body to the right of the manifold 8mm and the last one on the lower left was 10mm :) got forge boost hoses coming soon too!

fair play mate, looks real good. wish my bay was as clean as yours!
i bought 3,4 and 8mm in red.
hopefully it'll be here by the weekend so i can crack on with it.
haven't done the boost hoses yet as in the very near future i'm going FMIC :D
and i'll do it all in one hit.
what heat shield is that your running?

Cheers mate! You will need a 10mm to do the U bend that connects the manifold but all the rest is 8mm.
Check out eBay item 140605465146 £25 for the heatshield and it looks good and fits on the standard holes. Yeah I will be getting a FMIC soon - but found a set of blue Forge ones on eBay £50... Couldn't say no!

all pipes arrined yhis morning:D
guess i'll still need to order some 10mm.
i have a neuspeed heat shield, fits well. was just wondering where you got yours as i haven't seen one like it before.
great find on the hoses.
adam.

Yea I couldn't find a neuspeed on selling by itself without the induction kit. And I couldn't justify spending £100 on a JabbaSport one.
Have fun fitting them! Really easy and buy some jubilee clips. It takes no time at all. Pliers, scissors and a crosshead - take the hoses off then measure up against the hoses you bought give about 2cm or so then cut with the scissors - always good to leave a bit of slack then once it's on one side and all clipped up then trim it down perfectly. Easier to do it that way then under cut an waste a whole length of pipe!

Good luck :) post some pics on here once you have done it

yeah the jabba sport ones are pricy but having seen one in the flesh they really are a quallity bit of kit.

bought some bright red cable ties for the smaller diam pipes (which arrived this morning :D) and im gonna get some stainless clips for the larger ones.

looks easy enough to do, one of the few things i should be able to manage. ;)

would love to start a rr thread but i'm a bit a technophobe and cant put up pics! :ban:

Yeah I know they are a good bit of kit! But I like to be slightly different :)

I'm going to start a RR coz iv got loads of good pics and a good progress so far! You need to do what I've done - go to www.photobucket.com - sign up (free) then upload the pics onto your comp, upload them to photobucket - select a pic then it says "share" and at the bottom you need to copy and paste code into the forum post :)

Simples!
