VW recently fired all the top execs at Cariad, their software company. Looks like another big shakeup underway.

Likely more to do with delays in the electric range, but hopefully this means some improvements for infotainment reliability in the near future.

Most OTA software updates are minor ones (bug fixes probably) and not the major release level updates. I think the only OTA major release was to A896 and was done in a couple of goes with lots of warnings about not using the car for 30 mins, etc.
