Mike, did you use the connections behind the headlight switch?

For people who don't know, its easy to get to, push the light knob in and turn whilst pushin in to the right. Comes out and looks like this....

The two outside ones you need, as you can see i've spliced into them for the power and earth.

Yeah but I want mine to be accurate ;)

Mike

If you want it to be accurate, then you need to spend a fair bit and get the daddy of all gauges ;)

well after fitting this boost guage i believe it is really inaccurate, when i put my foot down it flys off the guage 30psi then goes to 20psi when redline..when really it should go to 28psi then hold at 24-26 then drop to 18 at red line..

cos when changing gear.. it shows about right....but i wouldn't trust it tbh... getting a new one next week...an 35-40 quid 35psi one...so if it does the same i apoligise in advance... i'll do a vid later Funny As F.

it may be because it can't handle the big rush of boost... i don't know.. prob work fine on a 1.8T running 1-1.5bar boost.

may keep it to scare people in thinking i'm running 30+ psi constantly on request.

yeah, majorly misreading! its sits off the scale till 4000ish, then drops slowyl like its supposed to. very odd!

@ stonyford - i hate them bloomin connectors, phil needs to get the soldering iron out :)

on vag com it should be 25psi where it is 30psi on guage and 15psi at redline where it is 20 on vag com so i think the guage is miss reading about 5psi :(

like i said when i get new guage we'll see
