I have the split r but it's not amazingly loud. How much are the gfb 50/50 and turbosmart compact dual port DV costing these days?

About £150, so not much more than the RRP of the split-r and sounds ALOT louder, holds boost great too (Turbosmart I'm talking about, can't speak for the GFB). Most who have bought the split-r have sold them on. I got my Turbosmart Kompact dual-port from here:

Turbosmart and GFB valves sometimes come up on ebay too, so worth a look.

Mate had the split-r sounds like a childs sneeze compared to my GFB 50/50, both on the same standard boost.
Depends what you want at the end of the day :)
AS for them coming up just keep searching a certain auction site.

Sorry to say that's not my experience with the split-r, many others too. 1.4 BAR of boost on mine and the split-r made a tiny, barely audible 'pfffft', same boost on Turbosmart a very loud sharp 'tttsssshhhh'.

I love Forge products - just not this one, just being honest.

My SPLT R has been on for months now, I started at 0 and wound it all the was up.
I've got no a lag, the noise isn't that loud, but as already suggested take off the sound deadening that really makes a difference. But to get the most from it, uprate the air intake.
I've just got a BMC induction kit, and them combined make a nice noise.
Fitting wise, I've had to take the engine cover off, due to the pipe on top of the valve rubbing.
The hardest partis taking off the clips that hold the pipes on, take your time other wise you may split a pipe.

If ure goin on remap boost buy the 007P. Opens MUCH faster, excellent build quality and together with an open cone filter gives you headturning release sound :)

My Split-R works fine with my remap, And I'm running 20psi of boost

The pipe should'nt rub on the engine cover unless you have it fitted the wrong way round, I'll try and find a pic of the way it should be fitted.

Here you go, This how it should sit.

No mate, I am running the Split-R in full re-circ now though

try it together with an open cone. Opens MUCH faster, even compared to split-r in resirq. Ull never look back. Money in the bank.

Also, prolly wanna get a tip if ure boosting 20psi :p

I'v got a Forge TIP already and a modded airbox, I have been thinking about trying a 007 for a while I'm just waiting for one to come up at the right price
