Anyhow I step on it, I can not step as quick as this module does. (And I know how to step quick, I'm a drummer.;))

I pressume your car isnt running a cc map then! The throttle plate moves in milliseconds so a change in the voltage (thats what it does) will effect how quickly it opens but if the car is set-up well, flooring it should have the same affect because the cars engine can only digest so much flow or air!
Im sure that some people are convinced as ive previously said im not its a gimic nothing more!

i will no doubt take mine off i think!

Just out of interest in being fair!(sorry im english) how do you find your car with the ph1 on it and the sprint booster,i only had to touch the throttle and it would take off down the road like a wild banshee (as if i was flooring it everywhere) i took it off within 1/2 hour of fitting it!
You should find like i did that 1/2 ish throttle is the same as full throttle as well.

i find it very very twitchy! the trottle is hard to control......include stuff like rain and things like that and it just isn't for me...

but i do love the 3rd gear to 4th gear take off....its the start off.....its just bloody twichy! :(

We tried one of these on our skoda vrs and it made the car dangerous to drive you only had to touch the throttle and it went down the road spinning the wheels etc!
Custom-code software turns up the pedal responce up anyway which is why the car drove like that,we would sell them to someone with a n/a car but not to a customer with a mapped vag group car as it make the cars drive very erratically and in our expierience quite dangerous! Still if you dont have custom-code software on the car they might be ok,cant really say.......

not the news i wanted to hear! :(

like I said i am/was planning to order one of these in the next few weeks!

I have a jabba map, so i dont suppose if you know whether they adjust the redal responce also when mapping?!

I guess the best way for me to find out is to call them lol

or can i find out by using vag com or even customsettings.exe ???

f1btn... any idea to my above qu's?!

I would think that jabba change the throttle map as well although i cant confirm that! I dont know if custom settings works with a jabba map although i cant see why it wouldnt, but have never try'ed it,sorry i cant be more specific, however you cant change the throttle response with that program anyway, if thats what you where after, its done at the mapping stage!!

oh is it?!

and yes custom settings does work with a jabba map! ;)

I guess i better get on the blower and find out at some point whether jabba have adjusted my throttle map, if so i wont bother with this mod, otherwise il give it a go!

cheers! :)

Was up at Star today to get a full geometry setup on my car as I was scrubbing tyres on the front and there seems to be no one in Glasgow that can actually align tyres properly. Saw Jim's new alignment system very groovy with mirrors and lasers etc. cool. Was right was toed in a bit and the caster is out on the front. Toe in problem sorted but cannot adjust caster but not a million miles outside tolerance so no big deal.

David

wow, someone that can actually do tracking on a LCR,
I've taken mine to a few places and they all say its fine, but scrubbing on the tyres tells me different.

...shame they are no where near Cardiff!

robdon how much did jim sell this too you for? forgive my bluntness but your first post sounds very much like an advert than a review so to speak, maybe a bit of "you can have this for £100 if you pimp it on the forums?"

Star are not like that, Jim's very honest buisness man
RobDon is not like that either, as he say's if you read the whole thread
'he says it like it is'
I was £165 inc VAT fitted as I believe everyone is from Star

I paid full price, I don't get any kind of 'incentives' like that from Star, both myself and Jim are open and honest people, I've known Jim for 4 years now and I've never seen anything underhanded or dishonest yet from Star.

I don't sugarcoat anything for anyone either - if it was crap I'd say so.

I can vouch for Jim also great guy.

I have been having quite a problem with jerkeyness when my Cupra is cold and I thought it was the sprint booster. Took it off yesterday and the jerkyness is still there but is definately worse with the booster on due to the increased sensitivity. Jim suggested it may be a water sensor on the right side of the engine block and if its black I should replace it with a green one.

I was also considering buying Denso sparks or maybe NGK Iridium anyone tried either of these? My plugs have been on for 29K so still have a bit more life in them but thought I would give it a go.

On a final point and back to the thread, my Cupra which Jim tuned to around 218bhp up from 180 really felt flat once I took the booster off so it went back on today again, really worth buying as it really does liven the car up a lot.

Just installed the sprint booster after getting the correct one. Not been for a full drive but positive so far.
Can tell it is there as soon as you pull off and when changing gear as you rev the engine too much..
Am sure I will get used to it and then not notice the difference until I drive a 'standard' car...like with the short shifter and dog bone...
