Hi what boost should a standard turbo run at.As ive just fitted a boost gauge and its boosting around 16 psi which aint right lol.

They spike to about 12-14 psi and hold about 12psi.

I wouldn't have thought so.....it is a mechanical gauge right?

yes with the vacum hose.Oh right.just think 16 psi was alot for a standard lcr

I have no idea what it should be as standard, and have no idea what might cause it to be high. Have you used the correct diameter tube for the gauge?

Yes used the parts that came with the gauge.Oh well never mind lol

where did you take the pipe from to the gauge? Dump valve or the FPR?
I used 4mm black silicone tubing but the one supplied should be fine.

The wiring to the gauge is just for the illumination of the needle, the gauge and a memory function to store the colour if its a multi colour display.

Is it a cheap guage? - Its not unknown for cheaper guages to be inaccurate.

Agree with the above, my Halfords one was well inaccurate so it was swiftly changed to an Autometre Phantom, far better guage. I would check this first of all

Its from the fpr and its £40 so its not cheap is it? lol

are all your pipes ok.. maybe a leak inthe pipe from charge pipe to n75.. mine melted one of these before and it done a similar thing
