I have but not with me. I basically removed air con pump and made custom alternator brackets to drop charger down to where air con used to be. Then made more custom brackets for charger mounting. It still runs standard belt!!! easy for spares and cheap too!

I wouldn't recommend anyone to try conversion if you trying to do a cheap conversion (extras soon add up) and you will need fair bit of trial and error so your car may be off road for a while. BUT i did my homework and with help from a very useful uncle carried out full converion in 2 days!!!!

I'd like to see those to!!

Is there absolutely no way you can mount the charger without losing the air con?

I dont see how. Some vw engines use smaller belt and mount alternator behind block but it doesn't run off same large belt like air con and alternator usually does.

Air con a waste anyway, and by removing air con pump and adding changer you add very little extra weight to car as aircon pump heavy too

mine runs m45 ok! and if u try and fit a larger charger than that to an ABF good luck! i had to loose one radiator fan, trim cowling, etc to make M45 fit! any bigger will be a nightmare!

golf+ wanted to feature mine last year (again) but i never got back in touch as rest of car needed some TLC!

7000rpm with 2:1 pulley radio = 14000rpm on charger which is ok.

check overall dimentions, i really dont think anything bigger than the M45 would fit to be honest! Mine JUST fits in and out with out removing anything else (which would help if alternator, etc needs changing). If i had any bigger would need to take front bumper, radiator, front pannel off everytime. Like i also mentioned, i had to loose a fan and the cowling totally (and fit a spal fan) to allow mine to fit.

Chargers look small until you try and fit into the bay! Good luck either way, the satisfaction when done is amazing! cant wait to get mine back together with std small pulley and more boost baby!

M45 is good in most applications, you only need to move to the bigger chargers once you get over 2.0 or move to a V6.

My rev limit is at 7450rpm and it pulls right up to the limiter. and will hold 18psi all day. Once my stage 2 head is fitted next week, it will flwo even better than now

Thanks mate! my thoughts exactly. dont see why the larger charger would be needed! im very happy with my conversion and would say it more than addequate for the job!
