TDI PD130 40k Service

I've just booked my car into a local SEAT specialist for it's 40k service and I've been told it's a major service and will cost £300. I've used these guys a few times and they are certainly cheaper than the main dealer but I'm wondering what on earth can be done that will cost that much money?

The car is an 03 Ibiza TDI Sport PD130 if that makes a difference.

Is it 4 years old??

Needs camelt if so...

Major service should be about £200-£300 iirc

It will be 4 years old in November. If there is a cambelt change that maybe explains it....

Cambelt is roughly £250 on its own

Mine cost £276 with 10% discount in December at Premier stoke. Includes fuel filter/pollen oil/filter/screenwash etc and 2yr brake fluid parts came to £110.
Dealers seem to have different opinions on cambelts some 4 yrs some 60000 miles

only 40k miles on a cam belt ? I thought it was 60 or 80k miles depending on model year

i paid 200 quid at local seat dealer on my old fabia vrs ... cambelt change is at 60K isnt it ?
