yeah may doquick question what would you recommend on an ibiza 16inch or 17inch alloys? lots of talks with friends and my dad

and recieving mixed answers, some say 16inch would look good others say they would look to small, then others say 17's will be to big others say they will rub and others say they look good....so bloody confused!!

Okay, well, when you change alloys you HAVE TO maintain the same rolling radius of the tyre, otherwise it screws with the gearbox.
There difference for my rolling radius is 0.1% so it's SO minimal it makes no difference.

Anyway, my original alloys were 15'' and then once I moved up to 17'' I simply used a lower profile.
Also, on mine there is absolutely zero rubbing, even on full lock. Plus I think 17''s fill the arches visually, you don't need to lower your beeza.
Personally for me, 16'' are too small.

Meh. Considering he's just passed, I wouldn't recommend changing body panels, alloys AND lowering. Would cost an insane amount on insurance. Performance mods gives them a chance to rape you..
Plus from the side, I really disagree about having to lower. There is still a slight gap, however with low profile and wide alloys it looks more aggressive and sporty; the reason why people usually lower it anyway..
Well granted it does look better, however on my last quote it was £100 extra for my insurance to have a filter, let alone a whole blimmin lowering kit!
See I'd never trust myself as I've seen a few threads where they talk about how easily home-fitted coilovers can go wrong. Plus I know nothing about the actual mechanics of the carRefitting a washer pipe or changing a wheel is as far as I go
