Throttle sticking open on my LCR?

Apart from the throttle body sticking open because it needs a clean, is there anything else that can cause this?

Othan a Good clean to the Throttle body. Cable might need some oil or if it still gets stuck get a new cable

Are they not DBW with no cable?

Yes they are DBW oil the cable sorry but

Search for throttle body cleaning.

What makes you think the throttle is sticking open?what symptoms are you getting?

if throttle is sticking open on a lcr, thats the throttle control box under throttle pedal.

at least mine did that once or twice.... and then it never happend again????

Not sure if it is linked but the clutch sensor looks like it is playing up as well!

My symptoms were accelerating at 50 mph, took foot of accelerator and the car was still accelerating, no clutch use for a while before it happened.

If you press the clutch in does the engine rev to the limiter or to around 2-3,000 rpm?if its the later,could be coolant temp. sensor faulty,i had this fault.Vag-com is the way forward though!

Had a vagcom about a month ago and all clear, if you are asking me if I put the clutch when stationary, the revs don't move?

Yes it has done that a couple of times, right up to about 6k, the first one I thought it was my fault in going back to driving a manual but the second time I realised it was the car

How many clutch pedal sensors are there and are they all easy to change?
