wot parts needed to do timing belt on 2002 ibiza cupra t...ie belt/pump/idlier/???? been quoted on a kit £83 LESS WATERPUMP..wot parts do i need...

vw genuine kit on ebay

i seen full kit and waterpump o ebay for £79 which includes waterpump.all vw parts ,but hasnt got my engine code ayp. it does golf and leon r and cupra are they all the same ? any ideas folks

There are two different tensioners on the Golf and Leon, and changes over in 2000, so you would have to check what one it comes with.

if u go into ebay and type seat timing belt . u will see the full kit and tell me wot u think . i have tryed 3 times to contact the seller but no reply ..it looks a good bargain

mines a 2001, on 50k i am gonna change the timming belt, is water pump essential as people ar saying its not?

plus is this engine a hard change?

my belt and pump were done at 60,000 and 3 blades were broken on it!!! Change the lot while your there mate!

make sure you get the waterpump with metal impeller.

you can get the full kit from euro car parts for a decent price
