Tobis MK3 Cupra - KKK-K26 arrived, new Video inside

Hi together

My name is Tobi, im from Germany. A long time ago, i found this board and since them im reading more and more here. So, now i think it's time to introduce me and my car.

My Ibiza is build 01. At the moment i changed the following things:

KW var 2 suspension, barracuda xtreme wheels in 7x17 at 195/40/17, KKK-K04 turbo from Audi TT, 4 bar fuel controller, 63,5mm downpipe including 100cells cat, Blue Flame system, Forge fmic system, Raid HP perfomance kit.

I hope i didn't forget anything

I still have to change:

* 305 x 28mm brakes with Porsche calippers
* oil cooler and catchtank
* change the Forge fmic (to small core size, to many edges, to small pipes )
* exhaust temperature and oil temperature instruments
* (pistons for new remap, still have fears that the k04 will kill my pistons someday )

I hope you're able to understand my english, it's sure not the best

when ever i see pics of germans peoples cars, there is always a pic of them with the car aswell. i think its pretty cool. you never see a face behind the car from english people. must be camra shy us lot

Hi

the strut brace is from Wiechers Sport. The turbo is a K04-023 . Actually my software is very mild, that the Turbo doesn't kill the pistons.

The software setup is made bei http://www.slstuning.de the diagramm is here:

I can't really believe, that the diagramm doesn't ly. I suppose the car has about 250HP and never 270HP, 329NM is also not very much.

Do You think i should go for another mapping, or is too dangerous to drive about 380NM with standard pistons ?

i think its because most of our younger members who are lucky enuf to own one of these cars sadly look like this wich can give us loveing cupra owners a bad name

Love your car mate! Looks like its been very well looked after! Very clean, the wheels suit the car perfectly and it sits perfectly on those KW v2's! Nice figures aswell!

Is somebody in here that drives a K04-023 (or maybe K04 hybrid) with the standard con rods (i wrote pistons before, sorry i confounded pistons with con rods ) ?

I still don't know what to do with the software, remapping and using the power that the k04 is able to make or leave the software as its actual situatioen (for protecting the life of my engine ) ?

think tyhat is many her that have 250-300 on orginal rods.and someone have more.the k03 hybrid is a turbo many is thinking to upgrade to then you have 270-290 on orginal rods.if you are going 300-350 it might be a idea to change

you will have no probs at all with rods on k04.

ive ran gt28rs on standard rods at over 300bhp

currently running k04 again on standard lump. it takes it easy

@ Tarzan thanks for the links, im going to read them (sometimes it could be hard, because youre writing not all the time so, like i learned it )

If you all say, that the torque and the hp is no problem for my rods, i think ill remap very soon


I'm searching a Shop for you all, that offers the strut brace for the MK3 Cupra that sends to the island .

Won't you make a group buy, it seems as there are a lot of interrest, i could help translating and organizing

Hi Mates

For making a group buy of strut braces I need to know, how much pieces we need. It would be better for the price, to find as much users as possible.

The normal prive in germany for this steel strut brace is ~ 90€ (depending on shop + / - 3-4 €)

My tuner said to me, it's only lucrative, if we find a few consumers. So now it's your turn. You should try to search a person, that keeps in contact with me for details, payment, adress and prices. The next "problem", the tuner is only able to make a good price, if we send to 1 adress in britain and this acceptor should send it to the other consumers. (this will be much cheaper, than sending from germany to 10 destinations britain.)

if i go on reading the board, i start thinking, that the k03 hybrid would have been the better alternative for me , than using the k04

I got some questions, maybe somebody can answer them

Do i need a normal k03 or a k03s for building an upgrade hybride out of this ? Is there a difference between k03 hybrid and k03s hybrid ?
What kind of manifold should i use ? In ebay.co.uk there are a lot of manifolds like this
or that one which one would you use for?

Is the Blue Flame DP okay for this turbo or would i need a 3" ? Where to buy ?
