Coolant was on the low mark, but been topped up now.

Adam, text you back mate ;) You know im useless when I get a message and im already doing something. The old mounts used to shear the stub, because the damping had gone, allowing the engine to move quite violently, putting excess stress on the stud. With this one, it hopefully wont be a problem, but time will tell.

Fook that looks a bit more substantial! Those top mounts are useless. I had a knock on mine not long after I had mine hybrid, thought it was top mount (which it wasn't), but when I replaced it, I noticed it had partially ripped the mount out the rubber housing. So glad I replaced it anyway!

And I certainly dont think you're gonna twist the chassis Tom.....at all. Just might be getting through driveshafts now instead..... lol

Aero front bumper finally turned up. Minimal trimming to make it fit, and its safe to say I'm pleased with it. Was unsure if it would work, but in my opinion, it deffinitely does.

to be honest, theres not as much room as I'd have thought, but noticeably more room than a standard pre-facelift bumper.

Looking at getting the cupra rear with a couple of trick bits to make it unique once it goes in for respray ash ;) Also considering some form of sideskirts. Who'd have thought it!? Me doing aesthetic mods. Might be picking up a pd140 Jetta at some point this week too for my new daily ;)

08 Jetta 2.0l TDI sport 140. Got some nice little features such as auto headlights, auto wipers, auto dimming mirror. Also came with a Parrot bluetooth kit in it. Drives real nice and is returning mid50's mpg.

Whilst I was using it on a daily basis, was returning anywhere between 45-60mpg average, depending on the type of journey. Going to Santa Pod for GTI Fest, I averaged 62mpg both ways!

One of these would finish the front end off nicely. (click on the pic)

WOW I love this thread!
Ive just had a engine mount go, the same as you just replaced, the thread the comes up through that the nut goes on has snapped! The mount is about 2mm from completely coming off!
New one is getting fitted tomorrow.
Where did you get your Aero bumper from, I would do anything for one of those newer ones!!
