Keeping the wmi, as the weight is next to nothing to be fair. Just going to put water in the tank, and it will only be used on excessively hot days to supress intakes a bit.

The brakes were from http://www.ksport.co.uk/.

Pretty sure that for the entire brake kit, it set me back just over £800. They are proper race orientated brakes as well.
Wow, £800 for the whole kit including the callipers, discs, pads, etc? That's insane...

Do you have any problems with them what-so-ever?

No problems at all. Only slight downside to these is you've got to take the caliper off and clean it regularly, as being race brakes, they don't have dust seals. Small price to pay for phenomenal performance!

Tom, what a little beast you've created now!

It's amazing how different the two hybrid turbos are! Looking back on it, the old turbo dynamic turbos really could've had better manifolds on them! The Darkside Developments manifolds look like a work of art! Does it drive much different? Obviously I know how the TD Hybrids drive.....

I'll be interested to see what figures you get! I know DSD's have a Mk5 Jetta like mine that they've hybrid. Its running 235bhp but only 330ft/lb torque? The torque seems really low compared to what I'm used to?

Will be good to see some results! :)

Yeah sure can do. Bit busy this next week, but sure we could sort something. I'm actually from Goole way on.

Ash, the drive is completely different. Much nicer delivery. How it is at the moment, its a very progressive delivery, and still won't spin the wheels in second in the dry!
Ryan's Jetta is a bit more powerful than that now ;) His is using a standard 2260, with bigger injectors, and is now making 300bhp!! No headwork or anything yet. All bolt on mods! The torque seems low on all the cars at the dyno they use. Saying that, their Jetta is making 420ftlb!

Mine didnt use to spin, but that was purely down to the tyres. With the Toyos it used to light it up, but the Yoko's really put the power down well in the dry!

I've been looking on the darkside developments website quite a bit! Just seeing what new updates they have. The Jetta has got a lot more now then!! 420ft/lb must be quite a nice feeling!

Will be very interested to see what figures yours makes. Not that that makes much odds, to me its the driveability that matters more. And you sound to have got that from yours now! I dont think I'll go back down the hybrid route with mine. As nice as the power is, this car is meant to be a bit better on fuel and a bit more sensible, so will just max out remap power I think! :)

Wanted to do something a bit different, so thought sod it, side exit exhaust!

My exhaust now consists of the Darkside Developments 3" downpipe, into a 2.5" side exit. The downpipe narrows anyway, and 2.5" cat-back is more than adequate. Opted for a small mid box in there too, just to take the edge off the exhaust note.
