tool for making logs

This may be a thicko question but what device is needed to make these logs that i keep seeing on boost problem posts,my lcr hesitates and is only 228.9 bhp and 238ftlb of torque with custom code stage 1 and if not to dear i would like to make some myself to see if anyone can shed some light on my problem.
