Hi all :D

Had a boy racer up my backside on the way home from work tonight , so when the light's changed from red i thought i'd put my foot down in my cordy tdi 130 and see if i could beat him away , no problem , i got away first , but i noticed that although the front wheels were not spinning , the TRACTION control light on the dash flashed a few times , is this normal

As i'm an old git now i dont really burn rubber anymore and plus the fact i've never had TRACTION CONTROL in previous cars i was just curious about the flashing light ,

Mark

this seems normal to me - as long as the light then goes off your fine. It means the traction control is working and the wheels have spun slightly.... on occassions when i go too fast round the roundabout and take a turn off, this happens to me, but then thats the wheels spinning slightly and my eratic driving!

I've had it happen to me a few times, especially like when you say, being quick off the mark. However I'm trying to get across a crap busy junction rather than beat someone at the lights.... Still I take it as just the traction control working, and stopping the wheels from spinning.

each time the light flashes it is telling you that the traction control has been activated and has stopped your wheels from spinning..................that is the job of (TCS)

it can activate just a little or it can totaly shut the throttle off and make you headbut the rear view mirror heehee
