Im a cnc machinist by trade for GKN motorsport, so im thinking about maybe using re-drilled tt disks, and making some brackets up to relocate the standard callipers to suit. This maybe an easier option, with a good improvement!

It doesnt seem that difficult to work out what need's to be done to me (mork/stu correct me if i am wrong).

Get the disc's calipers and carriers and hoses.

Redrill the disc's so they fit on the 4 stud's offer up the carrier's to the hub to see where they will sit, then machine as necessary to get them to fit centrally.

Hoses, mork mentioned he connected the leon hoses to the ibiza one's.

That's the jist of it i think, obviously a bit more involved but they seem like the basic's.

Oh and make sure your wheel's fit over them.

Spot on.

No brackets required - its dead easy.

LOL not as close as the cossie brakes on my old fiesta tho, even though it seemed to spin freely, and not touch the alloys, after a short blast, i had a nice, lip on the inside of the rim, where the caliper, had scraped against!
Got a piccy somewhere.

Fecking good brakes though, thats why i wanna uprate the brakes on the ibiza. And yours looks sweet as behind those wheels.

In regards to the machining of the carriers, how do you work out how much to machine off, and would it need to be taken to a specialist place, or could it be done, by anyone with a machining device?

Cheers Tom

I had the lugs counterbored 6mm by the machine shop next unit along @ work for a drink I recall, I then ground out the remaining material to suit the hub

note the bare material where I've filed it off, it still catch's the wheel when I give it some:)

Right, im thinking the tt calipers shouldnt be a problem on diameter, but as been said the width of the calliper under standard rims seems to be the main problem. So what im planning to do is machine a flat onto the calliper where it meeets the wheel inside face, the problem is im not sure how much metal will need to be took off to clear until i try it, and how much metal there is before i would meet the piston! Guess i wont know tilll i try it! better get hunting down some cheap callipers on ebay hey!
