Tyres - what do you run?

he doesnt want to slide into corners........but he does.

i run t1r all round

good in the dry

crap in the wet

that makes sense also. the lack of a comma makes it sound like he does want to slide. The back end of the beezas being so light does make the rear end twitchy though, and more chassis upgrades can help fix this.
Eagle F1 GSD3's are great in the wet imho, apparently there is better, but the f1's are a good dry wet combo!

I've run P-Zeros which were rubbish, then went on to T1-Rs which were better and quieter, now Parada Spec 2s which are amazing..just got to take it easy in the wet, thankfully you can feel them loosing grip and they don't just give way all of a sudden.

Im currently still running the original Pirelli P7000's, sounds like these Goodyear Eagle F1 seem to be a good buy may have alook at them when the time comes next year,

How much roughly do i expect to pay for these?

Cheers

what size are your tyres? 16's cost more than 17's but expec t to pay around 80-85 a tire.

Vredestien sessenta 215/40/17 ! huge wet grip great steering stunning feed back and they even snot up like a 888 on the track with great dry grip. High rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption but well worth it. Better than eagle f1 by a mile and better than t1r by half a mile!

In 50k miles my front wheels have had i've had P-zero neros, three sets of F1's and now i'm on Falken 912. Of them all, the goodyears were the best, falkens are good in the dry but pretty crappy in the wet. BUT it seems the Falkens aren't wearing on the inside edge like all my other tyres have.

Swaped my back tyres (barum) with the fronts (F1s) today to get rid of the barums. The difference in the fee of the car between the two makes is unbelevable. Feels like a diferent car with the barums on - far worse. Its more skitish, far less grip and VERY noisy. oing to get them replaced next week even though there is still 4mm of tread on them as they are that bad! F1s all the way!

So if going to 215 width (as rim protector!) how does the inside wearing issue work out. Kind of sick so see a decent (well P-zero for the snow) tyre trashed in under 14k .. even considering swapping them side to side next time at 7k to see if it can make things last longer.. but £30 labour chasing some snotty £80 tyres seems like a bad idea. Half had an idea it was a width issue with the poorly located suspension squirming around (Cupra so solid bushes already) compounding with wide tyres to eat the inside edge.. and 215 might just take it one stage further...

Yes F1 are great but for ice. P-zeros give you a chance.. but F1 go on my summer non Seat wheels..

Michelin Pilot Sport CUP if you want pure extreme grip.

Though you'll almost certainly kill yourself when its very cold, or wet.

Fact.

i'm looking around, reading reviews to make sure I get the best tyres for what i want...

i'm looking for good performance wet & dry, less noise than the p-zero's, and up to £75 per tyre - hopefully in 215/40 17

was thinking of goin up to 215/50 but the tyre wall may rub when carrying heavier loads or cornering...can anyone help me out?

initial thoughts are T1R's or Eagle F1's...but some say the T1R's are noisy, and the Eagle's wear quickly
