Hi mate this is everything i bought apart from the jubilee clips as i didn't use the ones that came withe the pipe kit as they were very poor quality. I bought some stainles TCS jubilee clips from local suplier, best in my imho.

Hmmm.... I've got £200 notes saved up towards new pipe+cat but it is burning a whole in my pocket. might have to give this a try first. I would go forge if it came it at around £300-350.

Can you post some pics of the completed install?

This is looking seriously appealing now. i was quite happy knowing that the Forge option for the LC was out of my price range. Now that it is less than £200, and apparently dead easy to do, i am struggling to justify not doing it!!!

Might sound daft, but with the Intercooler only held in place at the top, what stops it vibrating around. Also, does that fitting kit you both used replace all the pipes back to the turbo?

Matt

Will post some more pics when i've dug my car out of the snow. Lol. The pipework replaces from the pancake pipe onwards, only used half the kit on the lc but think the lcr uses more, although the pancake pipe looks like the most restrictive thing left on the lc now so might get a high flow one from THS at some point. With the bracket issue i have fitted brackets to the bottom also to aid stability.

Everitt did you have to cut your crash bar to fit the intercooler and do you think this one on ebay would fit 180307697576 its abit bigger than yours and the in and out put lookes closer togethor than yours

Looks a little big to me pal. I had to cut the crash bar with the one i had but that was because of the thickness of the cooler not the height or width. Ideally i would say something around 60mm thick would fit with no cutting of the bar. Having said this it was easy enough to do and it works fine.

Thanks for your help thats the only one i can find at the min there doesnt seem to be many universal ones about that will fit the lc. do you have any pictures of yours

Is this the forge kit? if so the pictures look different to the leon kit although I'm not sure why as its the same engine.

If its not the Forge kit alot of the golf kits don't have the mounting for the MAP sensor.

Cowie...If possible I'd get a twinpass with the inlet and outlet further apart as that one in the link would mean you have to force the pipes outwards a bit to get them to fit.

I'd also use T bolt clamps not jubilees and bead the ends of the pipes.

And you'll need a MAP sensor tube and you'll also need a DV outlet and a N75 outlet and also some 25mm pipe and a 90deg 25mm bend to recirculate the DV back into the TIP.

Hope this helps.

That does look quite like the Forge kit and they have the MAP bracket actually on the silicon pipe so it might well have.

Be good if it has that looks like the perfect size cooler for a LC :)

not sure on crash bar fitment though, the pipework looks to go through the actual bar on that one.

fancy a fmic install, but not happy with going custom route tbh.
