i have got my facts right its one of the earliest 225's i have taken it into seat and asked, and the guys that remapped it said it had the ecu of a 225, and its got the red badges on the back.

When was it registered then?

225 LCR's came about in Autumn 2003 on a late '03 plate or more likely '53 plate.
JAN 2003, when i first bought it i thought it was a 210 it was advertised as a 225 but i didnt believe him, the only reason i do now is a) because the seat service centre in camberley told me its a 225. b) red badges on the back and c) because the people who remmaped it said it has an 800 ecu which only the 225's have apparently the 210's have a 400 ecu ?

but ur car is a 52 plate so it cant be a late 03 car and mine is an early 03 plate so in theory the same as urs so cant see how ur slightly older then mine has a 225 engine not that it matters as supposedly the 210 is better (i have only heard this cant prove it or believe it) and the red badges mean nout i can put red badges on mine just like that "m5 bmw" had a "m5" badge stuck to its arse

I dunno to be honest not really bothered either way as its been remapped anyway, if it was just the badges then i would deffinately agree with you but it seems strange about the ecu and the service centre ?

If I was you I wouldn't advertise it as a 225, regardless of what you have said above. I also agree that you should sell the mods seperate, be interested in some of them if you did too... ;)

As you're the second owner do you know what mods the first owner did? Is there service history with it... may explain the 225...as officially I think they came out 1 Oct 2003, so yours would theoretically be a 210 but with 225:confused:

As far as i know no mods and it has service history, u would have to be an idiot to upgrade to a 225 ecu when u could just get it remapped to 265-275 for probably bout half the price ! lol
