Thats my first reply from the 4 companies ive emailed, not too bad in my opinion.

That's quite good, some time ago I looked around and got quoted £1500 for full car wrap in matt black. So I decided to get it painted. Not the whole car just roof, some bonnet and spoiler = £500. As soon as I'll pay of my engine conversion I'll get it done :)

surely a respray would be around the same price yet look better?

all depends on what you want i guess

having second thoughts about wrapping, you wont get the same shine from a vinyl after washing that you would after washing a painted car would you?

nope, but it all depands on what you want. I was considering a white wrap as then when i come to sell I can just leave it on if the new buyer wants to take it off then thats upto them

yeah i know stebbi but i think id prefer to have a shiny car once ive cleaned it etc than one that will never shine!

you'll still get a shine from it, but it wont be quite as nice when right up to it, from a couple of feet away you wouldnt be able to tell its not painted. have you seen the black rs4 with a white wrap.
looks pretty shiney

hey guys i do full wraps up in scotland and have done day in day out for the last 5 years.

vinyl wraps in my opinion never look as good as a quality spray job, the vinyl just dose not have the depth and clarity of paint, although it still looks good and most people cant tell the difference.
a wrap can be easily removed through time if you decide you no longer like the color or maybe you are going to sell the car. it is also cheaper than getting a good quality respray.
as for door shuts ect they can be done and usually at an extra cost but if you ask me they never look great mostly needing done in several patches and where do you end? boot shuts, under the bonnet, door hinges?i would suggest not doing them.
PM me for more info on vinyl related issues, always willing to help:)
