VVT on LCR. Any info?

I was just wondering of anyone had any more info or anything on the VVT for the LCR (225 bam if it makes a difference)? Just wondering if it was more like the Clio’s VVT or the Honda? As I seem to get an extra kick up the jacksie at top end and wondered if this has anything to do with it or whether its there when you put your foot down compared to normal cruising??

IIRC its only on the exhaust side and is maily used more for emission control rather than for power. Its a very crude mechanism where by a idler pully exerts extra pressure onto a belt to lengthen the belt IIRC.
