Looking at car from rear, leak on left is likely to be the connection in the pipe to the rear washer. Should be plenty of threads describing this in more detail. Leak on right spilling over into spare wheel well likely to be a failed foam seal around the cabin air vent. Easy to change once you have removed the rear bumper cover.

Hi everybody! Same here!

I'm from Ukraine. Just over a month ago bought this car and became a bit disappointed about the water leaks. The car seems to be a sieve... I found at least 4 leaks in the body, not considering the rear washer. here they are:
1- crack in the left hinge cavity sealant (see below)
2- a small hole in the corner folding of the (left) rear wing (under the rear lights)(pictures later) (fixed with body sealant)
3- a "nipple" plug near the air filter - was damaged (probably during the filter change) so water got directly under the carpets... (fixed just with flat bung of same diameter)
4- well known front door leakage (fixed)

So now driving without carpets and trims, and with trunk full of plastic parts and water :)

Today have registered here because luckily found "fresh" posts on my problem. Like in post #23 the leak seems starts from the hinge cavity. I found a factory body sealant cracked there. Being home in the evening I'll try to post some pictures made.

Has somebody found a remedy?

Still looking for the solution but "The truth is out there".

OK. Here we go with the pictures:

1. Here is the seal crack I mentioned before. (general view and zoom)

img156.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=026752807_1_122_226lo.jpg

2. A pinhole in the wing folding. (Hope you can recognize the place right above the rear bumper cover)

img191.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=026758801_3_122_389lo.jpg

3. And that is what I got in the rear wheel arc. The dust must testify that the water came from that white expandable plug for the bumper screw. But checked after rain - it seemed dry. So I still think that came from the top (boot hinge)

So you can check there for the moment. I'm going to reseal everything this weekend. Hope to finally fix the issue. By the way my plastic covers on boot hinges were stick just on adhesive tape :) IDK who did that)

Sorry for making only links to pictures.

Our kind administrators won't let me post direct URL links if I have less than 15 posts :)

Hope you'll be able to see the pictures.

Hi, thanks for pictures. Why did you remove the arch plastic locker? Have you inspected underneath?

For me it seems that the water doesn't come from the vent flap. I's been always dry.

I start thinking that drilling a drainage holes there would be a good solution :)

My door leaks again, and I found yesterday also that the rear washer leaks in the boot door... so I'm sure that's the reason why my boot opening trigger and the boot light dont work.
Waiting for my 15th post so i could post pictures trouble-free :)

Is the Seat really such a sieve? :|

I dont think that the dranaige holes are a solution because the water will be there and in time the rust will apear.I will send u a pm and if u find something there please tell me(i dont know german language).
If u'r door is leaking again it means that u didnt put the sealant very good ,spread the door again and put silicone or sealant strip all around.

No, that wasn't a bad seal. The water was coming from the service grommet (for window regulator), not too much. I notices traces of leaks even from the wiring clamps. Few drops I hope is not a big problem.

Concerning the boot corner leak. Look at the picture below. Inspecting the water trace I can suppose that leak is somewhere marked with arrow.

I found a problem with the rear washer. I thought it was a leakage from the pipe connection, but not.
The water is coming from 2 drainage holes (look at the arrows).

Hi!

I noticed water there, when I had problem with the hinge seal. After resealing I put that trim back, but i checked a few times above the boot corner and there was no water coming from top any more. I will check again when have time. My leakage seems to be on my previous post. But I am going to check top also when I get hose with water supply :)

These trim clips make me annoying because they are so tight and i afraid to break something.

By the way I cracked my boot door trim on Saturday..... :(

I added you to friends, maybe after you can send a PM to me

Ok ,i can not sent u a P.M.I dont know why?
So i assume any risk and i post the link here.I'm sorry if is not alowed.

This is forums - it should be permitted if nor a spam or advertisement.

Thanks for the link. It seems the leak problems are very common. The corner enforcing boot plate poor sealing, and hinge seal cracks. But the leak point could be very individual. So give me some time to remove the bumper cover and see where the leakage is.

What about the rear washer? have you had this problem?
